Are these britches made in America?
YES! BULL HIDE DENIM CO. makes every pair of britches sold here, right here in the USA! Merica!
What size or cut should I get?
Well…that is 100% up to you, chief. There are size charts shown below every cut made by BULL HIDE DENIM CO. that show the measurements you need to know, in order for you to determine what size and cut that suits you best. Look at these charts carefully and if you still have questions about a certain cut, feel free to shoot an email, but YOU and only you are responsible for determining what cut and size you should get.
What if I don’t like the size or cut I ordered, can I return them?
No. It falls on your shoulders to order the correct size and/or cut. We’re all adults, and are capable of making adult decisions. The return option is only granted if there is a construction or craftsmanship defect. I will happily take them back and repair (or replace if I can’t repair) them, at no extra charge. That is the Warranty on all the britches sold here at BULL HIDE DENIM CO. If your “situation” is so unique as to not fall under the scope outlined above, send me an email and we can discuss it. This is not a “yes I will take back your britches”…this is a “I will hear your situation, and if it warrants a return, I will let you know”.
Will my britches shrink?
Britches made here at BHDC are made with sanforized 100% cotton American selvedge denim…that being said, there is to be a small amount of shrinkage expected. To the tune of 1-3%.
Why are my britches so stiff and snug?
Because they are brand new, raw selvedge denim. A blank canvas, if you will, for you to flex and mold to your life’s liking. This seems like a good time to also mention the tag hanging from the belt loop…it’s legit. It works. I wet fit every single pair of britches I wear.
Do I really have to wet fit my britches?
Do you HAVE to wear socks with your boots? Nope, but it sure does help!
You don’t HAVE to wet fit your britches. You can certainly wear them right out of the packaging if you want to. But, I find that soaking them, and wearing them dry, gives the best fit I have come to know…hands down.
When and how should I wash these britches?
Another one of those “it’s up to you” situations. There is a “care” tag on the pocket bag that states “hand wash, hang dry”. That was as simple as I could make it. If they’re nasty and smell bad, it probably wouldn’t hurt to wash em.
Do I have to cuff my britches?
It’d be a lot cooler if you did, right on right on! In all seriousness, no you don’t HAVE to cuff them. Back in the day, so to speak, the cuff was there out of necessity, due to the selvedge denim being unsanforized…or, “shrink-to-fit”. All britches made here at BHDC are made using sanforized American made selvedge denim. I simply photograph them as cuffed to simply “show” the selvedge…and I personally like the cuff!
How long ‘til I get my britches?
There’s no “exact” time frame. There aren’t britches sitting on any shelf ready to be shipped. I make every pair of britches as they are ordered, in the order that they are purchased. Because of this, and the fact that some customers prefer an inseam length different than the standard 36”…there can be no “cookie cutter” way to go about making these britches. That all being said, the current timeline is over a year. You WILL get your order, but I can't attempt to say that I know “when”. You will get them as soon as I finish them and ship them. Remember, these britches are being made one at a time by one person (me) and quality and craftsmanship come well before “hurry up”. Recent actions were made to allow me to put more time into building britches, which has done a great deal of cutting down the time frame for getting britches made and shipped, but it still takes time. At the end of the day, you’re getting a quality American made pair of selvedge denim cowboy britches at a great price when you consider everything that goes into building them!
Can I get a refund if I think I’ve waited long enough, despite knowing that there’s a pretty long wait time and they’re made one at a time by one man?
Short answer…no. The money you payed for these unique britches is used to purchase more materials (denim, buttons, rivets, tags, flashers, thread, etc.) and is not just sitting in a drawer or cabinet somewhere. Truth be told, I make very little profit at this price point…not even joking! Now, if there is a unique situation where that money is needed to make a life altering decision, then yes, an exception can be made…but not liking the wait time isn’t a unique situation.
RUSH OPTION
Fee - $100.00 (in addition to britches purchase!)
The rush option will allow two things. One...you receive your britches within four weeks. Two...instead of this taking precedence over the already in place queue, this work will be done over a weekend, which is on my time, hence the fee. One rush option per pair of britches. For example, if you're ordering multiple pairs of britches, and you want them rushed, then a rush option purchase will need to be added for each rushed item.
*Note* There are generally four weekends in a given month, therefore only four rush options will be available for each month! Contact me via email (info@bullhidedenim.com) for the availability of rush options in the said month...BEFORE you actually purchase the rush option! If you don't email me before purchasing the rush option, there is the possibility that the rush option is not available in the said month! If that happens, I will contact you to discuss the NEXT availability of the rush option, or return the rush option fee to you! Please contact me prior to purchasing the rush option!
